Never blank on a client again.

What it does
Clio is a memory for your chair. Everything else follows from that.
Find anyone in one search
Type a name or a phone number. Sort by who you saw most recently. No folders to remember, no scrolling a list of 600 people.
Everything about her, on one page
Contact details, hair profile, and every service she's ever had — in one view, so you're never reconstructing her history from memory.
Notes that come back to you
Write down the formula, the preference, the thing she mentioned. It's waiting on her page next time, whether that's in three weeks or a year.
Service records
Log a visit with date, designer, price, and notes. Records break down into subtypes so a single visit shows what was actually done, and what it came to.
Designers
Keep your roster with contact details and birthdays. Filter any record list by designer and date range to see who did what.
Services & prices
Your menu, nested: each service holds its subtypes and base prices, so logging a visit is picking from what you already offer.
Revenue
A monthly overview built from the service records you're already entering. No separate bookkeeping step.
中文 and English
Switch language per person, not per salon. Dates follow the language — yyyy年MM月dd日 or dd-MM-yyyy.
Access & privacy
Clio runs as a hosted app, with your salon's records in a managed Postgres database. Here is exactly what that means for your clients' information.
Your salon's records are yours alone
Access is enforced by row-level security in the database, not by the app asking politely. A request can only ever return rows belonging to your own salon.
Each person sees what you've granted
The owner decides what staff can reach. Permissions are per member, and default to nothing until you grant them.
It keeps working when the wifi doesn't
Recently viewed data stays cached in the browser, so you can still look things up during an outage. Clio tells you it's offline and when the data was last updated. Changes wait until you're back online.
Your data comes back out
Ask and you get a complete export of your salon's records. Email info@cliohq.app.

Questions
- Can I sign up?
- Not yet, and that's deliberate. Clio is in daily use at one salon and is taking a small number of others so each gets proper attention. Email me and we'll talk about whether it fits how you work.
- What does it cost?
- Nothing during early access. If that changes you'll hear it from me first, well before it happens — not from a billing page.
- Is it finished?
- No. The daily workflow — clients, service records, designers, revenue — is solid and in real use. Features are added as the salons using it run into things they need. If you'd rather wait for a finished product, this isn't one yet.
- Where is my data kept?
- In a managed Postgres database, isolated from every other salon at the database level. Not on your own computer — earlier versions of this page said otherwise, and that was wrong.
- Can I get my data out?
- Yes. Ask and you get a complete export of your salon's records — email info@cliohq.app. There's no self-serve export button yet.
- Does it work in Chinese?
- Yes. Traditional Chinese and English, switchable per person, with dates formatted to match.
Taking a few more salons.
Clio is early, and it's real — one salon in Tainan runs on it every day. If that sounds like the stage you're happy to join, write to me and tell me how your salon works.
